Qualifications

  • Significant experience in FP&A within a private equity-backed or corporate environment with high turnover (£100m-£300m).
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, project modelling and analysis.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding environment.

About the role

As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate, forward-looking financial insight through budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Lead the Group's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and enhance the Group's current financial models ensuring robust and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with finance and budget owners to develop performance metrics and KPIs.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data to support business decisions. Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Provide key data insights to customer and key stakeholders to help improve profitability and business performance.
  • Create financial models to predict future trends and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Work with stakeholders across the Group to prioritise business and information needs.
  • Support preparation of Board packs and investor reports.
Strategic Support
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Identify trends and patterns in financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial reporting and analysis processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in BI tools and techniques.
Skills and experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in FP&A within a private equity-backed or corporate environment with high turnover (£100m-£300m)
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, project modelling and analysis
  • Exposure to multi-site and multi-entity operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with BI/reporting tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
