Job summary

Benchmark Capital is seeking a Senior Financial Planner to join the Midlands team in Shrewsbury. You will provide high-quality financial planning advice to individuals, families, owners, and professionals, building lifetime strategies and conducting regular reviews with a focus on compliant, holistic outcomes.

You will work with paraplanners and investment professionals, leveraging market-leading technology and strong support to deliver excellent client service across the region.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as a Financial Planner in an independent or restricted advisory business.
• Excellent technical knowledge across pensions, retirement planning, investments, protection and estate planning.
• Experience developing and maintaining long‑term client relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Good understanding of FCA regulations and industry compliance requirements.
• Competent with Microsoft 365, CRM systems and financial planning software.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and professional introducers.
• Deliver holistic financial planning advice tailored to clients’ objectives.
• Conduct annual and ongoing financial reviews, virtual or face‑to‑face.
• Create and implement lifetime financial planning strategies.
• Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and broaden planning discussions.
• Collaborate with paraplanners, administrators, compliance specialists and investment professionals.
• Contribute to development of the client proposition and advice offering.
• Support positive client outcomes while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
