Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Senior Financial Performance Manager to lead financial performance across the South Region, partnering with Regional Senior Leadership Teams and Hospital Directors to drive EBITDA growth and informed decision-making.

You will build robust financial analysis, business cases and investment appraisals, coach a team of Financial Performance Managers, and deliver planning, budgeting and reporting improvements in a multi-site healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or Financial Performance leadership role.
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving financial performance within a complex organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience developing business cases, investment appraisals and performance improvement initiatives.
• Excellent financial planning, forecasting and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making at senior levels.
• A continuous improvement mindset with experience enhancing financial processes, controls and reporting.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Financial Performance Managers, ensuring clear priorities, strong performance and ongoing professional development.
• Monitor financial performance, trading risks and opportunities, driving a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Champion improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting to enhance efficiency, insight and decision-making.

Working closely with Regional Senior Leadership Teams, Hospital Directors and Finance colleagues, you’ll help shape financial strategy, identify opportunities to improve performance and ensure informed decision-making through high-quality analysis and commercial insight. You’ll also lead and develop a team of Financial Performance Managers, supporting the delivery of the region’s financial targets and long-term growth plans.
