Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Financial & Management Accountant for a 9-month fixed term position in Leicester. This role involves supporting the finance team on various projects, producing reports and accounts, and managing direct reports. Suitable candidates should have good accounting knowledge and team management experience. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts.
• Understanding of finance regulations and legislation.
• Experience of team managing.

Responsibilities

• Supporting with finance team projects, specifically the Accounts Payable Project.
• Producing VAT returns.
• Leading month end reporting including preparation/review of fixed assets.
• Assisting with payroll.
• Producing management and financial accounts.

Skills

Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts

Understanding of finance regulations and legislation

Experience of team managing

Accounting qualification – desirable but not essential
