Job summary

Charles Street Finance, based in Cheadle, South Manchester, seeks a Financial Crime Manager to lead the maintenance and enhancement of the Financial Crime Framework and act as a subject matter expert on AML, sanctions and risk controls.

The role includes review of high-risk relationships, Enhanced Due Diligence, SAR investigations and regulatory disclosures, plus coordination with the outsourced Financial Crime Team to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in financial crime compliance, AML, risk or compliance within financial services.
• Detailed understanding of UK financial crime regulatory requirements and guidance.
• Experience drafting risk assessments and policy documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Financial Crime policies, standards and procedures (AML, CTF, sanctions, bribery & corruption, Market Abuse, Fraud).
• Conduct horizon scanning to identify regulatory developments and risks.
• Support key governance activities, including risk assessments, MI, reporting and training.
• Review high-risk relationships and EDD requirements, fraud referrals and escalations.
• Review monitoring outcomes and SAR investigations, advising on disclosures to the NCA as needed.
• Provide expert guidance to the wider business and support complex investigations and regulatory matters.
