Job description
Job Purpose

The Finance department is part of the ICE Corporate organization and is responsible for financial planning & analysis. This role is in the London Finance team supports the Fixed Income and Data Services business segment - this segment has annual global revenues of approximately $2bn. The role reports to a director based in London who in turn reports to the senior director in New York who oversees the Fixed Income & Data Services Finance team. The role supports the processes for the planning & analysis of various products with the business segment which: enable the management team to set budgets and track revenue performance provide forecast information to the CFO to support the quarterly SEC earnings & revenue guidance process.

Responsibilities

Revenue planning & analysis for the following product areas with their approx. annual revenues:

  • ICE Global Network (IGN) - $400m
  • Pricing and Reference Data EMEA - $150m
  • ICE Data Derivatives - $120m
  • Feeds EMEA - $30m
  • FX variance calculations

The above responsibilities are carried out in the context of 12 monthly forecasting cycles and one annual budgeting cycle.

Product Area Specific Responsibilities
  • ICE Global Network (IGN) – Maintain/update the IGN revenue model for the monthly forecasting cycle and annual budget. Manage the analyst team member’s work on the IGN net new business process for monthly actual billing. Report monthly erosion to Relationship Management teams. Analyze month-to-month movements in sales implementations and backlog reports.
  • Pricing and Reference Data EMEA – Maintain/update the PRD UK revenue & ASV models for monthly forecasting cycle and annual budget. Oversee the analyst who covers the PRD Italy revenue model. Liaise with UK Accounting to update ASV by customer and understand variances.
  • ICE Data Derivatives (IDD) – Maintain/update IDD revenue model for monthly forecasting cycle. Liaise with Tel Aviv Accounting to update ASV by customer and understand variances. Prepare monthly forecast slide presentations for IDD Product management team.
  • Feeds EMEA – Maintain/update Feeds revenue model for monthly forecast cycle and annual budget. Liaise with UK Accounting to update ASV by customer and understand variances.
  • FX Variance Calculations – Maintain/update models that calculate impact of changes in monthly FX rates on revenue variances for budget, forecasting & prior year. Send FX impact files to FIDS Finance team.
  • Erosion pipeline analysis – Review & validate Salesforce erosion pipeline report with Relationship Management team.
  • Implementation and backlog analysis (PRD) – Validate monthly implemented sales and closing backlog using revenue/ASV analysis and liaising with Sales Operations team to resolve queries.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Undergraduate Honours degree – Upper Second (or equivalent), Finance-related subjects preferred (e.g. Business, Accounting/Finance, Economics)
  • Several years’ experience in a Finance/Accounting environment
  • Strong Excel skills including the full range of functions typically used in an FP&A function with ability and confidence to deal with very large models and datasets
  • Competent PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal including ability to prepare high quality, clear presentations as part of the monthly forecasting process
  • A high degree of confidence dealing with ICE colleagues including those in senior leadership positions
  • Strong enquiring mind and attitude with desire to identify areas where existing processes can be made more efficient and accurate
