Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com in the UK is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the UK Record-to-Report (R2R) function. You will lead monthly management accounts and statutory reporting, drive automation, and deliver insightful financial analysis to senior stakeholders.

You will oversee balance sheet reconciliations, support internal audits, ensure IFRS compliance, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant background in Record-to-Report (R2R) operations.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with an analytical, problem-solving mindset.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and consistently meet tight deadlines in a dynamic setting.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively across teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive approach to driving process efficiencies and business performance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools like Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements ensuring complete compliance.
• Analyse complex areas such as PSP reconciliations and staff cost forecasts.
• Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for UK-related queries raised by Group Controllers.
• Support internal audit processes and ensure strict adherence to IFRS and controls.
• Independently lead UK financial system enhancements, reporting automations, and cross-functional workflow projects.
• Mentor and support the ongoing professional development of junior finance team members.
