A leading recruitment company in London is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join a high growth client in the energy/tech sector. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of post-qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and strong technical knowledge of UK reporting standards. Senior Financial Accountant

Our high growth client in the energy/tech space are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Central London. This is a really exciting opportunity, offering brilliant progression opportunities as well as exposure to managing junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and draft technical accounting memos to support appropriate treatment for new and existing transactions, as required by auditors or external stakeholders.
  • Drive an efficient audit process and assist in preparing statutory financial statements.
  • Support the completion and review of the month‑end reporting pack, focusing on technical aspects such as consolidation adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within existing and emerging finance areas as the business continues to grow.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of annual tax computations.
  • Prepare monthly tax accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations, including reviewing analysis and disallowable expenses.
  • Compile and review tax‑related information for investment activities.
  • Collaborate on ad‑hoc projects across the wider business in line with our growth strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with around 4‑5 years post‑qualified experience. Strong technical exposure to UK reporting standards including IFRS and UK GAAP will be highly necessary, as well as industry exposure in a similar accounting based role. Managerial or mentoring experience will be ideal, with a can‑do attitude and want to improve processes.
