A prominent charity organization in Central London is seeking an experienced financial professional to oversee the Annual Accounts and ensure compliance with all regulations. Ideal candidates will have a professional accounting qualification and strong technical expertise in financial reporting.   • Support with treasury functions and periodic cash flow forecasts.

About Our Client

This organisation is a well-established not-for-profit entity based in London.

Job Description

  • Accountable for the efficient and accurate production of the Annual Accounts, acting as a key contact to the Auditors and Governance Team
  • Continuously develop and keep up-to-date with current regulations to act as subject matter expert on tax, audit and technical accounting queries
  • Ensure that the charity meets internal and external reporting targets such as VAT returns, Gift Aid Returns, etc.
  • Review financial risks and be responsible for the improvement of internal controls by striving to innovate wherever possible utilising digital technologies where appropriate
  • Support the Head of Financial Operations with the treasury function and provide periodic cash flow forecasts
  • Support the construction and presentation of reports and financial data to the relevant committees

The Successful Applicant

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Experience within the not-for-profit or charity sector.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
