A leading financial recruitment agency in Edinburgh is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead statutory reporting and compliance for two business units. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK tax regulations. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience, excels in stakeholder management, and thrives in complex environments. This position offers a hybrid working model and up to 12 months contract with potential for permanent conversion.

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a technically strong and proactive accountant to lead statutory reporting and compliance for two integrating business units. This is a high-impact role within a transforming finance function, ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys building processes from the ground up.
Following recent acquisitions, three finance teams are undergoing integration. This role will focus on statutory accounts preparation for two key divisions, rebuilding processes and ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK tax regulations. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and auditors, with the opportunity to shape reporting frameworks and contribute to long-term consolidation efforts.
This starts as a contract for up to 12 months with a strong possibility of permanent conversion. Flexible with 2‑3 days per week in the office.
