Senior Finance Technician – Temporary Contract | ASAP Start | Nottingham (Hybrid)

Becky would like to hear from you, she is seeking a skilled Senior Finance Technician to join a busy local authority finance team in Nottingham on a temporary contract with an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting vital public services while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working (1–2 days per week in the office, remainder remote).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Updating and maintaining spreadsheet data.
  • Forecasting budgets and monitoring financial performance.
  • Completing journals and supporting month-end processes.
  • Running reports and providing financial insight to managers.

What we’re looking for:

  • A finance professional with strong IT competence (particularly Excel).
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in budgeting, reporting, and financial administration.
  • Strong communication skills to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Temporary contract – until at least the end of January 2026.
  • ASAP start.
  • Hybrid working – 1–2 days per week in the Nottingham office. Monday – Friday 09.00-17.00hrs
  • £16.65 per hour.
