Job summary

Forge Talent partners with a fast-growing global business to recruit a senior finance professional for ownership of the end-to-end Group Cost function. You will partner with senior stakeholders, lead a team of finance professionals and deliver robust financial models, forecasts and cost insights across the organisation.

You will drive budgeting, planning and continuous improvement while ensuring high-quality reporting for the board.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar finance/business partnering role.
• Experience working in a fast-growing or changing business environment.
• Proven experience using finance to improve business performance.
• Experience managing or developing a finance team.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills.
• Experience producing high-quality reporting and analysis for senior leadership/Board-level audiences.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to challenge non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness with solid technical accounting knowledge.
• A proactive, energetic approach with a genuine desire to make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Group Cost function, including P&L and balance sheet production, performance analysis and business partnering.
• Lead, develop and support a team of finance professionals.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across central functions.
• Provide insightful analysis and constructive challenge around costs and business performance.
• Build and maintain robust financial models and monthly rolling forecasts.
• Lead the annual Group costs budgeting process and support the 5-year strategic plan.
• Challenge and improve existing finance processes, reporting and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices across the finance function.
• Support audits, corporate tax returns and statutory accounting queries.
• Contribute to wider finance projects and strategic initiatives.
