Job summary

AWE in Reading is seeking a Finance Senior Manager (Outside IR35) on a 12-month contract, hybrid working with on-site presence as required. You will lead financial activities, develop strategies, oversee governance, coach Finance Managers, and provide timely reporting to senior stakeholders.

This role requires DV clearance, strong governance experience, and a track record in high‑performing finance teams within regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Essential DV clearance is required.
• Experience operating at senior finance manager level or equivalent.
• Strong governance, controls, compliance and reporting experience.
• Proven ability to build robust financial control frameworks.
• Experience leading high-performing finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery of all financial activities within timescales, budget and quality.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to meet objectives.
• Provide accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure integrity of financial information and outputs; oversee governance & compliance.
• Coach and develop Finance Managers and Analysts; drive a high-performance culture.
