We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract at Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll lead operational finance, turning financial and operational data into clear insight that helps drive performance and better business decisions.
Working closely with the Hospital Director and senior operational leaders, you’ll be a visible and trusted finance partner who understands what drives performance and can turn the numbers into practical recommendations.
As part of the hospital Senior Management Team, you’ll provide financial insight and constructive challenge, lead budgeting and forecasting, and help operational teams understand performance, risks and opportunities. You’ll oversee key areas including management information, payroll, billing, accruals, balance sheet and reconciliations, while maintaining strong financial controls.
You’ll also work with teams to improve theatre utilisation, reduce cancellations and control workforce and agency costs, as well as supporting investment decisions, growth opportunities and bids. You’ll lead and make effective use of the Finance Analyst, Data Analyst, Clinical Coders and central finance support.
You’ll be a qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience, backed by strong operational or commercial finance business-partnering experience. You’ll be proactive, accountable and delivery-focused, with the ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure. Experience within private or commercially focused healthcare would be advantageous.
