Cumberland Farms, part of EG Group, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead end-to-end finance operations, FP&A, and controls. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will implement processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive team progression.

The role offers hybrid working, a discretionary bonus, and opportunities for professional development within a global organisation. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or equivalent, with at least three years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong finance background across financial reporting, month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with financial data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the company.
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports with key points and recommendations.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, operational colleagues, and relevant departments.
• Provide data-backed recommendations to support effective decision-making.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared monthly and investigate differences.
• Support year-end audit processes and performance-related queries.
• Undertake projects such as automation and SAP/POS improvements.
• Oversee and produce monthly Board Pack and Profit & Loss Account.

Our Finance Team is expanding, and we have a new opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager. In this role, you will be an essential asset to our business, reporting to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning & analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and identifying opportunities to improve procedures & controls.

We are looking for an adaptable and efficient individual with a strong finance background. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use their experience & initiative to implement processes, collaborate with key stakeholders, and support the development and progression of the team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports, providing key points and recommendations
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, operational colleagues, and relevant departments
• Provide data-backed recommendations to support effective decision-making
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated
• Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
• Deep involvement in the year-end audit process on performance-related queries
• Undertake various project work such as automation, systems (SAP/POS) improvement
• Oversee and produce monthly Board Pack and Profit & Loss Account

What we’re looking for:

• ACA, ACCA,CIMA qualified, or equivalent, with at least three years’ post-qualification experience
• A well-rounded finance background, with experience across financial reporting, month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Confident analysing financial performance and translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to work with financial data accurately and efficiently.
• Experience identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and drive efficiencies, including through systems improvements or automation.
• The ability to build effective relationships across finance and the wider business, communicating financial information clearly to different audiences.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to take ownership, challenge existing processes and deliver improvements.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high standards of accuracy in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
