Job summary

1000heads in London is seeking a Senior Finance Executive for a 12-month maternity cover to support our Group Financial Controller. The role covers accounts prep, cashflow forecasting, payroll for the UK entity and overseas entities, VAT returns, and inter-company transactions across currencies.

You will work with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery while maintaining GDPR compliance and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Finance professional with strong accounting and payroll experience.
• Experience with multi-currency accounts and inter-company transactions.
• Proficient with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support management accountant with accounts preparation for multiple entities.
• Forecast cashflow including inter-company transfers.
• Prepare UK payroll and administer overseas payrolls.
• Update daily banking for Directors and handle VAT returns.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Finance Executive to join our Finance Team in London for 12-month maternity cover. This role will report in to the Group Financial Controller. The role is in the London part of a global team made up of people from NYC, LA, Berlin and Sydney.

Duties will predominantly consist of:

• Supporting the management accountant with accounts preparation for multiple companies in various currencies
• Cashflow forecasting to include inter-company transfers
• Monthly payroll preparation for the UK entity and administration for overseas entities
• Daily banking updates to Directors
• VAT returns
• Supplier payment runs/payroll runs
• Chasing outstanding debtors, as required, by phone, letter or email
• Processing inter-company transactions for multiple companies in multiple currencies
• Ad-hoc duties as required
• Keep GDPR and data protection in mind in day to day responsibilities

• Strong finance background with experience of all the above
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Enthusiasm, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential
• Strong accounting and payroll systems such as Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll
