Job description

Two exciting opportunities available for experienced finance professionals to join a leading energy company in Aberdeen as Senior Business Analysts. These new positions sit within a high-performing finance team and offer the opportunity to play a role in supporting performance across both operational and decommissioning activities in the North Sea.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as a trusted partner to operational and commercial teams, delivering robust financial insight, supporting decision-making, and driving efficiency through accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts, ensuring robust financial models and accurate reporting.
  • Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to validate assumptions, analyse variances, and enhance performance understanding.
  • Providing detailed financial insights to management, highlighting key trends and issues affecting operational and decommissioning activities.
  • Managing vessel campaign tracking, Value Of Work Done (VOWD), and accrual processes to ensure accuracy in monthly financial reporting.
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, driving efficiency and best practice.
  • Delivering inputs to corporate reporting, governance processes, and partner engagements.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the Business Analysis Team, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing culture.
About You

You’ll bring a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels. With significant experience in the oil and gas sector you’ll have a deep understanding of operational drivers and commercial arrangements within the industry.

You’ll also offer
