Job description

It’s an exciting time to be at Bromford Flagship as we continue to grow and evolve. We’re looking for a motivated senior finance assistant to play a key role in our accounts payable team – part of a supportive and transforming finance function where you’ll have the chance to develop your skills and make a real impact.

Reporting to the accounts payable manager, you’ll help deliver accurate, efficient, and compliant financial processes. You’ll oversee daily reviews, ensure targets are met, complete supplier reconciliations, and maintain data accuracy to agreed deadlines. You’ll also support automation and continuous improvement, helping to streamline processes and improve on‑time payments.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll act as a mentor and promote a one-team approach, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver excellent service. You’ll take ownership of your work, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and contribute to a culture of accountability and innovation.

This role is permanent and full time. You’ll be based from our Wolverhampton office with regular home working available. A basic DBS is required for the role.

You will have:

  • Experience working in a busy, high-volume accounts payable or shared service environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Confidence communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive attitude towards supporting change and continuous improvementli>
  • Ideally, at least three years’ experience in accounts payable
  • A good standard of education, including GCSEs in Maths and English
  • A willingness to study towards a recognised finance qualification (desirable)
