University of Leeds is seeking a part-qualified accountant or accounting technician to join the Faculty Finance Office. The role involves supporting the Faculty Accountants to monitor income and expenditure, analyse variances, and provide accurate financial reporting.

We are looking for a part qualified accountant/accounting technician or qualified by experience individual to assist the Faculty Accountants in providing an effective and efficient financial support service across the Faculty. You will be based in the Faculty Finance Office, but will need to work closely with colleagues in the Faculty’s constituent Schools, Centres and Institutes as well as those in Corporate Services.
With experience of monitoring actual income and expenditure against budget and of preparing variance analysis, you will have excellent IT and analytical skills and the ability to use Microsoft Excel. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team player and to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people.
