Job description

Hayward Hawk are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our financial services client for an Senior Finance Assistant on a full‑time, permanent basis. You'll have the opportunity to grow in your role, while playing an important part in our client's continued success. This is an in office role.

What you'll do:
  • Monitor bank accounts regularly to verify successful transactions and liaise with banking partners to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC as required.
  • Conduct due diligence, including identity verification and risk assessments, for new clients in compliance with anti‑money laundering regulations.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance of the fund and associated entities with investment mandates and legal obligations.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with clients and external professionals to support the effective management of the fund and its related entities.
  • Open and administer bank accounts for the fund and associated companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the proper handling of funds in accordance with the fund’s governing documents and regulatory requirements.
  • Process fund transfers in a timely manner—particularly for investments—ensuring alignment with contractual agreements.
What you'll need:
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software and Microsoft Office applications, with particular expertise in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High standard of organisation and planning skills.
  • Fund administration experience is preferable
