The Senior Finance Analyst plays a key role within the Group FP&A team, supporting the delivery of group-wide reporting, forecasting and financial planning. Working closely with Commercial Finance, Financial Accounting and other teams across Finance, the role brings together a clear view of financial performance, outlook, risks and opportunities for senior management. The role will take ownership of core Group FP&A processes, including monthly performance reporting, short-term cash-flow forecasting and elements of the annual budget and in-year forecasting cycles. It will combine strong financial analysis with clear communication, ensuring complex information is translated into concise, accurate and insightful outputs for senior stakeholders.

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality month-end performance reviews for senior management and other key stakeholders, clearly articulating the financial story, key variances, risks and opportunities, decisions required and recommended actions.
  • Coordinating regular forecasting and planning activities across Finance, setting clear requirements and deadlines, constructively challenging assumptions and submissions, and coordinating agreed actions through to completion.
  • Taking ownership of the short-term cash-flow forecasting process, working with Finance teams to understand movements, challenge underlying assumptions and phasing, present forecast reviews, and coordinate actions to address emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Responsibility for the ongoing management of financial risks and opportunities, maintaining a clear and evidenced R&O view, challenging assumptions, timing and financial impact, presenting regular reviews, and coordinating owners and actions to ensure changes are reflected in the latest outlook.
  • Building strong relationships across Commercial Finance, Financial Accounting and the wider business to improve the flow, quality and consistency of financial information.
  • Developing a strong understanding of ASOS's key financial and commercial performance drivers and using this knowledge to provide meaningful challenge and insight.
  • Producing ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic projects and senior stakeholder requests, applying a strong understanding of ASOS's financial and commercial performance drivers to provide meaningful challenge and insight while maintaining accuracy and clear documentation of assumptions.
  • Improving financial models, reporting tools and team processes through automation, data and AI-enabled solutions to increase efficiency, strengthen controls and enhance the speed, accuracy and quality of Group FP&A outputs.
Qualifications
  • Supporting the development of junior colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing and review of their work, while contributing positively to an inclusive and collaborative Finance team culture.
  • Is a qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, ACA or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Has experience in FP&A, management reporting, commercial finance or a similarly analytical finance role.

  • Has strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge and influence colleagues at different levels.
  • Takes ownership of their work and is accountable for its quality, accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Can plan and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing recurring deadlines with changing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
  • Is inquisitive and commercially aware, with the ability to move between detailed analysis and the wider financial story.
  • Is proactive, adaptable and comfortable identifying and implementing improvements to existing processes.
  • Has an interest in using systems, automation, data and AI to make finance processes more efficient and insightful.
