FINANCE ANALYST – CUSTOMER REGIONAL TEAM
We have an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the Civil Customer and Business Development Team. As a Finance Analyst you will be a member of a small team reporting into the Customer Finance Vice Presidents (VPs). The role will specifically focus on supporting the Customer Finance team's delivery of customer cash commitments of c.$10bn globally, commercial initiatives (including contract restructuring), spare engine sales and reporting which will enable the business to predict and control these critical activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Working with the Finance VPs and Customer Regional Teams to prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly cash forecasts using the customer cash forecasting models - taking account of operational drivers (e.g. Engine Flying hours), contractual obligations (e.g., price and payment terms) and customer behaviour (e.g., expectations around use of credit notes, overdue debt).
- Interfacing with members of the Customer Regional Teams around the world (including Commercial teams, Account Managers, Sales and VPs) to continuously understand, challenge and improve the accuracy of our customer cash and profit forecast.
- Provide coaching, education and support to ensure understanding and achievement of RR key priorities and enable the team to sell effectively. Opportunities to join external customer meetings if desired.
- Supporting the further development and digitisation of key processes in partnership with stakeholders across Civil Finance.
- Liaising with the Engine Value Streams to ensure alignment on key Aftermarket and Spare engine related cash flows and contract restructuring.
- Preparing clear and insightful presentation material for consumption by the Civil CFO, the Customer Leadership Team, Regional business teams and other key business stakeholders.
Key Skills and Experience
- Educated to degree level/CIMA/ACA or have equivalent professional experience.
- Highly numerate, a problem solver and possessing strong analytical and influencing skills.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and experience using digital tools.
- Commercial experience would be highly beneficial.
- A strong team-worker with experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Energy and drive - a self-starter, prepared to challenge the status quo and proactively identify/implement process improvements.
- Strong communicator - written & verbally, ensuring key salients are summarised with an ability to go deeper depending on the audience.
- Professional and flexible in approach and able to manage a varied workload and competing priorities.
The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Staff Grade 8-10.
