Job Description

We're looking for a highly motivated Analyst with an accounting background to help deliver the reporting and analytics of our Central cost base. In this role, you will produce timely, accurate and insightful reporting of headcount, T&E and head office costs for UK with the use of Power Query. There will also be a focus on making our finance processes efficient and easily manageable as possible through automation.

Key Accountabilities
  • Preparation of monthly cost reporting of head office costs, ensuring these are delivered to a high standard within the reporting deadlines.
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commentary on all key variances to budget/forecast/prior year.
  • Produce monthly packs for budget holders at an employee level, for people and non-people costs
  • Ensure monthly payroll reconciliation is completed to the agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Ensure certain group reporting requirements are completed within required deadlines and to a high standard
  • Preparation of annual budgets - to create, review and upload annual budgets for head office costs.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis in conjunction with key stakeholders to understand key drivers and any financial impacts .
  • Provide analytical support on key business decisions,
  • Build good working relationships with key contacts to understand the business and the business needs
  • Work with the wider Finance team regarding financial reporting requirements and improvements
Qualifications
  • Finance Qualification - Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) -
  • Min 5 years experience in Management Accounting
  • Strong level of Excel skills (v/h lookups, sum-ifs, pivot tables, etc)
  • Experience with Power Query on Excel (a must) to manage and manipulate large volumes of data from multiple sources
  • Ability to translate data into clear insights
  • Experience with reporting and presentation of data
  • Solid stakeholder management skills
  • A commercial mindset or the ability to see the bigger picture is desirable
  • Results driven, can work at fast pace whilst ensuring accuracy.
  • Has the ability to take ownership of an area and drive improvements by identifying inefficiencies and providing solution
