Job summary
Arts University Bournemouth seeks an experienced Senior Technician to lead the delivery of technical support across Film Production. You will oversee camera, lighting, grip, sound, data management, studio and post-production workflows while providing training and demonstrations to students and staff.
You will also manage technical staff, coordinate resources and foster strong relationships with academic teams to support teaching, learning and creative production in a dynamic higher-education
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in technical film production and digital cinematography.
- Specialist knowledge of professional camera systems, incl. ARRI Alexa.
- Experience leading a team of technicians and managing staff development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of technical support across camera, lighting, grip, sound, data management, studio and post-production workflows.
- Deliver training, inductions and technical demonstrations to students and staff.
- Provide line management and workforce planning for technical staff.
- Collaborate with academic staff, production management and students to ensure industry-standard facilities and practices.
- Support student success and develop outstanding technical provision in a creative HE environment.
