Location : Within 40 minutes of the M25, with travel to Head Office and Client Sites

Salary : Up to £46,000 DOE

Role Overview

As a Senior Field Technician, you’ll lead complex, hands‑on field activities across the clean water network. Acting as the on‑site technical lead, you’ll support planned and emergency works, ensure safe and compliant delivery, and mentor field teams. Ideal for an experienced clean water professional ready to step into a senior, expert role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of field activities including isolations, asset investigations, operability testing, commissioning, flushing, and water quality tasks.
• Oversee on‑site works with Project Managers, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of planned, complex, and emergency activites.
• Maintain clear communication with field teams, contractors, suppliers, and client stakeholde
• Drive on‑site improvements by proposing solutions and implementing best practice.
• Brief teams on RAMS, project requirements, toolbox talks, and safe operating procedures.
• Carry out site surveys, inspections, and risk assessments to support RAMS and client reporting.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

• Minimum 5 years’ hands‑on experience within clean water network field operations.
• Proven first‑person lead on trunk main isolations for large‑diameter mains.
• Experienced in valve operations, including CALM networks.
• EUSR Water Hygiene certification.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Competent IT skills including Office 365, GIS mapping tools, PDA / tablet use, and digital reporting systems.

Desired / Beneficial

• NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
• Experience in DMA validation, zonal pressure testing, valve shut‑offs, step testing.
• Trunk and distribution main isolations, asset verification, probe installations, and mains disinfection experience.
