Job description

As a Senior Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineering excellence across one or more technology domains by providing deep technical insight, continuous improvement, and ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Day‑to‑day, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and support of complex technology solutions, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. As a technical authority, you will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the design and delivery of field engineering services across diverse locations and environments, ensuring consistent and secure infrastructure deployment
  • Acting as a technical point of contact between field teams, engineering functions, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational needs and technical delivery
  • Supporting device provisioning and software deployment using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM) and Autopilot
  • Supporting enforcement of endpoint and infrastructure security controls in field environments, including encryption, access control, and secure device handling
Job Details

This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK locations. Shift patterns for this role are 07:30am–18:30pm GMT and you may be asked to work at specific times. As part of a commitment to maintaining high service availability and rapid incident response, this role will be required to participate in an on‑call rota.

Essential Experience
  • Deep technical expertise in one or more domains such as Infrastructure (Storage & Compute), Networking, End User Computing, Monitoring, Field Services, Applications, Cloud & Web, Linux, Identity & InfoSec and Modern Workplace
  • Experience contributing to field support models, including vendor coordination, service‑level adherence, and escalation handling
  • Hands‑on experience with infrastructure rollouts including structured cabling, network hardware, AV systems, and end‑user compute devices
  • Proven ability to manage installation and maintenance activities in secure and regulated environments, including defence and critical infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of health and safety practices in field environments, including risk assessments and safe working procedures
  • Experience delivering infrastructure changes within secure and classified environments, ensuring compliance with defence protocols
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
