Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Senior Fellows in Paediatric Spinal Surgery for an 12-month fixed-term post based in central London. The role focuses on sub-specialty training in all aspects of paediatric/adolescent spinal surgery and requires GMC registration with completion of basic surgical training.

The post offers flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for research, teaching and cross-cover of lists.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration by start date.
• MBBS degree or equivalent.
• MRCP or MRCPCH or equivalent.
• Higher degree – MSc/MPhil or related.

Responsibilities

• Work with consultants in paediatric spinal surgery and cover clinics and theatre lists.
• Participate in teaching sessions and ward rounds as part of the unit activities.
• Engage in sub-specialty research and training in all aspects of paediatric/adolescent spinal surgery.
• Induction programme for junior staff and support with mentoring.
