Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Farnborough, ENG seeks a Licensed Avionics Inspector (FAR) to ensure maintenance, inspection and regulatory compliance under UKCAA MOE Part 145. The role involves leadership duties, certifying tasks, and coordinating with base and line maintenance teams across locations worldwide.

Candidates should have UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant type ratings and experience in aircraft inspection.

Qualifications

• Extensive combination of line & base maintenance experience.
• Evidence of aircraft inspection and certification experience from line and base maintenance.
• Experience within the corporate industry an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Aviation Legislation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working patterns.
• Able to demonstrate a well-organized approach to daily job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Acting as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input.
• Perform the day to day duties of a Maintenance Team Leader when requested by a Service Team Manager.
• Daily management of manpower resources of licensed inspectors and fitters on a specific aircraft line or base maintenance input.
• Certifying tasks trained on and authorised to perform, and inspecting/certifying at Luton main base and other locations.
• Promoting and ensuring maintenance commitments are fulfilled within the assigned time scale.
• Ensuring maintenance documentation is completed fully and handed over when reassigned.
• Advising on difficulties or shortcomings to STM and monitoring department goals.
• Attending Stand-up Board meetings to roll out performance communications and discussions.
• Promoting quality of workmanship to UKCAA standards.
