Senior Family Worker - Reunification & SGO Conversions

Rate: £21.02 LTD per hour
Initial Contract: 3 months (potential extension)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Family Worker to join our dedicated team specialising in family reunification and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversions. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work intensively with families to facilitate safe and sustainable reunification plans.
  • Provide guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance during the SGO conversion process.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and contribute to care planning alongside social workers and wider professionals.
  • Deliver targeted interventions that strengthen family relationships and reduce risk factors.
  • Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful transitions.

  • Proven experience in family support, reunification work, or permanence planning.
  • Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding principles, and statutory frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and engagement skills with children, families, and professionals.

  • Full driving licence essential.
