Harbottle & Lewis, a renowned London law firm, seeks a Senior or Managing Associate to join its Family Group. You will manage a varied caseload with autonomy, delivering high-standard advice and client service across complex family matters.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in family law, with a proven ability to manage your own caseload independently.
• Excellent technical knowledge.
• Experience dealing directly with clients and managing complex and sensitive matters.
• Strong negotiation, communication and advocacy skills.
• The ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A commercial and client-focused approach.
• A proactive attitude towards business development and building professional relationships.
• The confidence to take responsibility and make decisions without requiring close supervision.
• An interest in developing your career and contributing to the continued growth of the Family team.

Responsabilités

• Manage a varied and complex caseload of family law matters with a high degree of autonomy.
• Take responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to resolution, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Provide clear, pragmatic and commercially aware legal advice to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and other professional advisers.
• Conduct negotiations and, where appropriate, represent clients in court and other dispute resolution forums.
• Demonstrate strong judgement when dealing with complex and sensitive family matters.
• Manage competing priorities, deadlines and client expectations effectively.
• Contribute to the development and profile of the Family team and wider firm.
• Support and share knowledge with more junior members of the team where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Keep up to date with developments in family law and ensure advice reflects current legislation and practice.
