Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Senior Associate in Family Law for a Glasgow-based role with semi-remote discussions. You will manage a varied family caseload, advise clients, and mentor junior lawyers while contributing to the Scottish practice's growth.

The ideal candidate is Scots-qualified with 4+ PQE, commercially aware, and ready to help shape the team’s development across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Scots-qualified Family Lawyer with 4+ PQE.
• Independent management of own caseload.
• Comfortable advising clients through sensitive matters.
• Commercially minded with client development focus.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied family law caseload across financial and children matters.
• Taking ownership of complex matters with autonomy.
• Providing clear, empathetic, commercially aware advice to clients.
• Mentoring and supporting junior solicitors and trainees.
• Contributing to business development and profile-raising for the Scottish practice.
