The Senior Fabrication Engineer will oversee day-to-day fabrication activities for major structural steel and mechanical packages within Sizewell C Marine & Tunnels, working at supplier facilities across the UK.
Reporting to the Package Manager, you will lead technical delivery, ensure safety and quality, review documentation, and coordinate with CWA, fabricators, and independent assurance bodies to keep the programme on track.
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theMarine and Tunnels Section.
The Senior Fabrication Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the fabrication activities associated with major structural steel and mechanical fabrication packages within the
Sizewell C Marine & Tunnels programme.
Working as part of the Marine & Tunnels Fabrication Delivery Team, the role will be predominantly based at supplier manufacturing facilities (primarily within the UK) to provide continuous oversight of fabrication activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, in accordance with programme and contractual requirements.
Reporting to the Package Manager, the Senior Fabrication Engineer will act as the primary engineering and delivery interface between the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), the fabricator, independent assurance bodies and the wider project team. The role provides technical leadership during manufacture while driving progress, managing quality compliance and ensuring timely resolution of engineering and production issues.
This is a permanent position within the Sizewell C Civil Works Alliance.
