Schroders in London is seeking an experienced Manager Research professional to contribute across external manager research, portfolio management and strategy/client activities within private markets. You will help assess, select, and monitor external managers across private debt and equity products, and engage with clients and investment committees.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, mathematics or a related field.
• Four to seven years’ experience in manager research, private markets, fund selection, investment consulting, asset management, investment banking or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience evaluating and monitoring external investment managers or private market funds.
• Strong understanding of private market fund structures, performance analysis and risk.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Responsabilités

• Source, screen and evaluate external investment managers across private market strategies.
• Conduct due diligence on investment strategy, team, underwriting, track record and fees.
• Build and maintain models and tools to assess manager performance and portfolio risk.
• Monitor existing managers, deployment, valuations and key-person considerations.
• Prepare investment recommendations and materials for investment committees and client boards.
• Support client relationship management with periodic reviews and updates.
• Prepare high-quality presentations, proposals and client materials.
• Contribute to market research, asset-class views and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance and operations teams on diligence and onboarding.
