Job summary

Exchange for Change is seeking a Senior External Affairs Manager for Scotland to shape and deliver high-impact public affairs, industry engagement programmes and campaigns around the UK deposit return scheme (DRS). The role is hybrid (60/40 Glasgow/remote), full-time and permanent, with a competitive salary.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of External Affairs, work with teams across the UK, and build relationships with government and industry to raise awareness and engagement

Qualifications

• Proven experience in public affairs, policy, communications or stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of the Scottish political system and policy landscape.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and represent the organisation.
• Experience developing engagement strategies and building advocacy networks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with peers to raise the reputation of Exchange for Change and the DRS in Scotland.
• Shape and deliver high-impact public affairs programmes and campaigns.
• Engage with government, industry and external stakeholders to build advocacy networks.
