A logistics company in Chichester seeks an experienced export professional to manage the full booking process and assist in airfreight operations. Overview

Our client a small forwarder are looking for a candidate with previous experience within an Export role. 80% Airfreight but also some Road and Seafreight. Willing to put their hand in at every opportunity and go above and beyond to support the Companies business verticals.

Handling aerospace, general cargo, OBC, AOG, VIP, hazardous and live animals.

Responsibilities

Experience of working in an export department, managing all aspects of a booking process from start to finish including Customs entries.

Opportunity to learn airfreight imports.

Computer literate with a clear understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Understand a full range of Incoterms and current Customs Procedures.
  • Have a clear understanding of International Trade Regulations.
  • Have an exceptional understanding of Geography, Mathematics and Literacy Service & Engagement is non-negotiable - retaining and growing the existing customer base whilst ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Have a willingness to learn and develop in a fast paced setting.
  • Multi modal experience preferable.
  • DG trained preferable.
  • Cargowise or Boxtop experience preferable.
  • Level CO security essential.
  • Car driver essential.
  • Salary – Circa £35,000 – £42,000.
Additional Information

This is not a Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm role, you will be on a rota for call outs for AOG shipments and the role is very much job to finish. Everybody helps out with all departments to get the job done.
