King's College London is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Executive Officer to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Vice President (Research & Innovation), Professor Sir Bashir M. Al-Hashimi. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a senior university leader, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a strategically significant executive portfolio.

The Senior Executive Officer is a key role, providing a highly effective and confidential executive service that ranges from complex inbox and diary management, committee support and facilitating information exchange and dissemination across a wide portfolio of responsibility. The successful candidate will work closely with the VP to coordinate and drive forward the research and innovation ecosystem at King’s.
The role requires regular liaison with senior colleagues, Faculties, and professional service directorates throughout the university as well as representing King’s to high profile external visitors and partners. This position is ideally suited to an individual who thrives in a behind-the-scenes role, bringing calm efficiency, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive mindset to a fast-paced and high-profile environment.
Bringing significant executive experience at a very senior level, ideally gained within the higher education sector, you will be responsible for managing complex diaries and scheduling commitments, preparing briefings and handling correspondence with professionalism and discretion, and monitoring priorities to ensure timely follow-up on actions and deadlines.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
