Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Band: GBP 29,900 -GBP 33,250 per annum, plus GBP 2,200 London Weighting. It is our usual practice to offer at the bottom of the salary band.

Hours: 5 days per week ; 9AM-5.30PM (flexible working hours available).

Start date: Flexible, to be agreed with candidate based on notice period

The Opportunity

As our Senior Evaluation Coordinator you'll drive forward how we measure and share our organisation's impact.

You’ll own our monitoring and evaluation framework and use this to design smart and robust ways to measure how our work creates change.

You’ll lead our annual data collection processes and cycles, collaborating with other teams to collect and share key outcomes data, both internally and externally.

From crafting data methodologies to generating insightful reporting for stakeholders, this role is ideal for someone who loves delving into data, analysing and communicating trends and working with others to make a difference.

1. Designing how we measure our impact
  • Work with the Head of Impact and Strategy to scope and implement the Social Mobility Foundation's evidence of impact
  • Shape evaluation questions and themes to explore, design the methodology, and consider data required to conduct robust analysis
2. Evaluating our interventions
  • Manage the yearly impact evaluation to further the organisation's understanding of its effect across our three interventions:
  1. on students' outcomes, including student university destinations and longer-term graduate outcomes
  2. on the outcomes of our employer influencing work, including the impact of the Social Mobility Employer Index
  3. on the outcomes of our campaigns work
  • Work with and manage the relationship between third party data providers to enrich our evaluation insights e.g. UCAS or HESA
  • Develop and manage data collection processes, such as surveying tools and use of the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
3. Data collection and performance management
  • Collaborate with teams to establish monitoring processes and cycles to support optimisation of delivery across the three interventions
  • Support with the design and usage of The Social Mobility Foundation's Salesforce CRM system, working closely with the Senior Salesforce Administrator
  • Develop and manage data analysis and visualisation tools and processes, such as PowerBI, to present monitoring data
4. Reporting and sharing our impact
  • Establish and manage the process for collecting and communicating the organisation's key impact messages, consulting with the Strategic Communications team to align with our brand and tone
  • Consolidate analysis findings, and present them to various audiences to enable conversations around the development of our work
  • Work with the Impact & Strategy, Programme and Partnerships & Income Development teams to create and manage streamlined data collection to funder reporting, aligning to our organisational M&E framework
  • Produce regular, high-quality reports for our funders and external stakeholders
  • Provide data analysis support and guidance on presenting evaluation
Person Specification/Skills
Monitoring & Evaluation
  • How to run an evaluation project, and manage it throughout the full project life cycle, i.e. planning, data collection, analysis, and dissemination
  • How to create and implement plans and/or processes, including administrative systems and robust evaluation processes
Systems
  • How to use databases, data visualisation tools and CRMs, underpinned by strong IT skills and the ability to learn and build capability
Benefits
  • 36/37 days (England & Wales and Scotland respectively - includes bank and public holidays and three days to be taken between Christmas and New Year) plus up to 3 days additional annual leave increasing with length of service.
