Job summary

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking an EV Programme Manager to lead the delivery of over 2,000 new charging points as part of our EV Strategy. You will procure operators, manage the delivery programme and engage with residents to communicate benefits.

You will lead a team of Project Managers/Officers within the Transport & Parking division, collaborating with colleagues to ensure project success and alignment with the Council’s Corporate Plan.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of best practice in planning and delivering EV charging infrastructure and related guidance.
• Strong track record of managing complex traffic, transport or parking improvements on time and on budget.
• Excellent oral communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent written communication, ability to summarise complex proposals for non-technical audiences and draft funding applications.
• Experience managing people and contracts to deliver projects with a proactive, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of 2,000+ new charging points as part of the EV Strategy.
• Procure further operators and manage the delivery programme.
• Communicate benefits to residents and liaise with stakeholders.
• Evaluate project outcomes to inform next steps.
• Manage a team of Project Managers/Officers and coordinate with colleagues to ensure success.
