Job summary

Fusion People are recruiting a Senior Estimator for a leading main contractor to work on civil engineering frameworks within rail and highways. Location: Manchester.

Remuneration: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum plus car/car allowance and benefits. The role involves coordinating tender documents, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environment standards, and producing both technical and commercial submissions.

Qualifications

• First principles estimating experience.
• Civil engineering tender background.
• Savvy stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Record and log tender correspondence.
• Review tender documents and provide feasibility advice.
• Coordinate tender documents from other departments to meet client requirements.
• Ensure estimates consider applicable legislation and industry standards on health, safety, quality and environment.
• Prepare information on technical and commercial aspects; identify opportunities/risks; prepare bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
• Prepare and submit tender queries/clarifications.
• Prepare and submit subcontract enquiries per company processes.
• Review subcontract tenders for compliance and incorporate into the estimate.
• Monitor contract compliance with statutory requirements.

Our client, a Large prestigious main contractor are currently recruiting for a A Senior Estimator to work on a number of civil engineering frameworks within rail & highways.

Location: Manchester

Remuneration: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum plus car / car allowance & benefits

The Role:

• Ensure all tender correspondence is recorded and logged
• Review contents of tender documentation and provide feasibility advice
• Co-ordinate the tender preparation documents submitted by other departments, ensuring that they adequately address the client's requirements
• Ensure 'estimates for work' take adequate account of applicable legislation and recognised industry standards on health, safety, quality and environment
• Prepare all necessary information on the technical and commercial aspects for submission. Identify potential opportunity / risk and evaluate options Prepare bills of quantities / schedule of rates for tender applications and first principle estimates
• Prepare and submit tender queries / clarifications
• Prepare and submit subcontract enquiries in line with company processes
• Review subcontract tender submissions for compliance and into the estimate
• Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements
