The Opportunity

As Senior Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in shaping project success by producing accurate cost estimates, supporting tender strategies, and influencing commercial decisions. Your duties and responsibilities will be:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for major civil engineering packages in line with project requirements.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with commercial, design, and procurement teams to develop competitive bids.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities, providing input into value engineering strategies.
• Maintain estimating databases and ensure compliance with governance and audit standards.
• Support tender presentations and client negotiations.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator on major infrastructure projects (£50m+).
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK construction cost frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.

It's great if you also have the following

• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with estimating software and digital cost management tools.
• Background in civil engineering and reinforced concrete structures.
