Job description

We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in‑house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own in‑house contracts. You will be responsible for producing the most competitive net cost and for establishing, maintaining and improving procedures for the control and effectiveness of the estimating function in line with company policy and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Produce the most competitive net cost and maintain the estimating function in line with company objectives.

Technical

• Good mathematical knowledge
• Up to date with IT packages including Workspace & Conquest

Commercial

• Up to date with what is happening in the marketplace
• Good overall knowledge of competitors

Contractual

• Keep up to date with current legislation
• Understand the conditions of contract

Administrative

• Set up and maintain good systems and procedures

General

• Possess effective time‑management skills, with a demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines
