Senior Estimator

Location - Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Permanent role

£70,000 - £90,000 / year + benefits + car allowance

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for civil engineering and drainage work and work with tender teams to secure sufficient work
• Lead, mentor, and develop estimators to assist with tender submittals, including identifying opportunities and risks for each project
• Undertake estimates, liaise with stakeholders to agree methodology and principles, maintain tender files and register of key assumptions, and note-taking from meetings
• Aim to win work to meet the company growth targets
• Provide support to site teams relating to estimates and key assumptions
• Obtain feedback on estimations based on actual project cost

Qualifications

• Proven track record of working on high-value tenders (up to £5m) within rail drainage, utilities, and civils
• Commercial or engineering background
• Holding chartered / incorporated status or working towards it
• Confidence in dealing with and collaborating with stakeholders
