Job summary

Middlesex Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with strong technical knowledge of drylining, partition and ceiling packages. You will analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations, identify risks and value engineering options, and prepare tender adjudication documents for delivery teams.

The role requires a proactive, organized professional who can manage multiple tenders, build client relationships, and collaborate with design and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator.
• Strong drywall systems and interior fit-out knowledge.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical information accurately.
• Commercial awareness with negotiation and analytical skills.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractors and major projects.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Proactive, organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.
• Collaborative mindset with operations and design teams.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong technical understanding of drylining, partition and ceiling packages.

You'll Be Responsible For

• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options within tenders.
• Producing tender adjudication documents and handover information for delivery teams.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Helping identify opportunities for business growth and repeat work.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator.
• Strong technical understanding of drywall systems, interior fit-out and construction sequencing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical information accurately.
• Commercial awareness with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and major construction projects.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office packages.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with operational and design teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant construction qualification preferred (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent experience).
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
