Location: Glasgow. Senior Estimator — Are you an experienced estimator looking for the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of diverse projects across Scotland. Based in Glasgow, this role offers the chance to play a key part in securing high-quality projects and shaping the success of a leading construction business.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you'll take responsibility for the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction sectors. Working closely with operational, commercial, and pre-construction teams, you'll assess project requirements, manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries, and develop robust cost plans that reflect true project value.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new build, refurbishment, and framework projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure all elements are costed accurately
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
• Identify value engineering opportunities and project risks
• Contribute to bid strategy meetings and present estimates to senior management
• Support and mentor junior members of the estimating team

About You

• Proven experience in an estimating role within the UK construction industry
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and cost drivers
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
