Job summary

University of Bedfordshire is seeking a Deputy Director of Estates - Maintenance & Capital Works to provide senior leadership for maintenance, compliance and capital projects across our campuses. The post-holder will act as the single senior point of accountability, guiding strategy, governance and delivery while working with external consultants and contractors.

The role emphasizes strategic assurance, stakeholder engagement and a customer-centric approach, with travel to campuses as required

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in estates/ facilities management.
• Track record of delivering capital and lifecycle projects.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accountability for maintenance delivery and project delivery.
• Ensure compliance, governance and data-driven decision making across the estate.
• Lead and develop the Estates team and external partners.
