Job summary

Obsidian is seeking an experienced equity research professional to forecast the timing and content of post-catalyst notes for a named analyst. You will reason from filings, earnings, transcripts, estimates, valuations and ratings to form an expected published view, and document the internal workflow for producing equity research reports.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct equity research experience in the relevant sector.
• Proven track record publishing post-catalyst research.
• Strong ability to analyze filings, earnings, transcripts, valuations and ratings.
• Experience with internal research workflows and report production.

Responsibilities

• Forecast the timing and content of a named analyst's post-catalyst research note.
• Reason from filings, earnings, transcripts, estimates, valuation and ratings to an expected published view.
• Document the internal workflow that determines how and when an equity research report gets produced.
• Review model-generated analyses and grade them against your own standard.
