Job Description

We are partnering with an innovative and scaling investment data and indices provider that is building and launching new products, and looking for an experienced Equity Data Referential Operations / Index Analyst or Manager to create and maintain new solutions, including a new equity index data referential as the basis for new indices. This is a superb opportunity for an individual to play a lead role designing, creating and maintaining new products, a creative role with impact that is rare to find in the the larger data and index providers.

Role responsibilities

• Input into design of the referential data universe.
• Design, automation and continuous improvement of data collection processes and methodologies.
• Sourcing, validating, and inputting equity data from various financial sources.
• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the data.
• Conducting rigorous quality assurance checks to maintain the highest standards of data integrity.
• Researching and resolving data discrepancies related to corporate actions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and stock splits etc.
• Collaborating with other teams, including research and technology to support index-related projects.

The experience our client is looking for

• Experience working for an indices provider i.e. MSCI, Bloomberg, FTSE Russell, STOXX, S&P or similar.
• Understanding of how to efficiently design / structure, build and maintain an equity company universe referential.
• Understanding of corporate actions and their impact on equity data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical skills such as Python and/or SQL.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
