Job summary

Cinder Hill Equine Clinic in Horsted Keynes is seeking a Senior/Experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy 8-vet team. We operate around the Ashdown Forest with strong referral and ambulatory work, offering advanced dentistry, laser surgery and on-site surgical facilities.

The role is full time (40 hours/week) with potential for part-time for the right candidate and a 1:8 on-call rota outside stud season.

Qualifications

• Must be a Vet with qualification in equine practice.
• Experience in lameness work-ups and vettings preferred.
• Team player with good communication.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to respond quickly and stay calm in challenging situations.
• Diplomatic in resolving client complaints.
• Driven to deliver gold standard patient care with collaboration across the Equine Division.
• Able to adapt to industry changes and challenges.
• Financial awareness and ability to prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform lameness work-ups and veterinary assessments.
• Provide high-quality ambulatory and in-clinic equine care.
• Contribute to team support for studs and competition yards.
• Participate in on-call rota outside stud season and assist with inpatients.
