Job summary

pxFairport (pxF) is a project delivery specialist recruiting a Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle, deliver scope within budget and schedule, and secure target margins. The role links engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure adherence to contract terms and pxF policies.

You’ll receive on-the-job training, coaching, and twice-yearly reviews to develop contributions and competence, with onsite parking and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• HND/Degree in technical or engineering discipline.
• Project Manager experience within a projects and construction environment.
• Experience delivering projects under standard and non-standard contract terms.
• Project Controls experience, including planning, monitoring, and reviewing of both schedules and cost.
• Understand engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide input and support into project proposals during the bid and pre-contract stage.
• Review all project and contractual documents on assignment of contract to ensure all project and contractual requirements are understood and documented.
• Develop a Project Execution Plan to reflect pxFairport’s project management procedure and in line with client requirements.
• Identify criteria for completion of contract and develop actionable plan for closing out contract.
• Develop and maintain project cost tracking, assign budgets for all elements of works, and approve project spend; escalate overspends prior to commitment as required.
• Develop and maintain project programme, both internal and external, monitoring progress and identifying impact or opportunities against progress.
• Develop and monitor a project cashflow projection throughout the life of the project; report any negative cashflow or risk areas to the business.
