Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Permitting Consultant to join our growing EHS Permitting and Process Safety Team with hybrid options from Chesterfield, Manchester or Nottingham. You will provide environmental compliance and permitting support across sectors, supporting clients in industry, manufacturing and power generation while advancing low-carbon initiatives.

Qualifications

• Base degree in engineering or science
• Experience in industrial or consultancy roles
• Track record delivering Environmental Permitting compliance work

Responsibilities

• Deliver Environmental Permit applications, variations, transfers and surrenders for UK and Ireland clients
• Conduct environmental risk assessments to identify impacts and risks
• Advise on legislation, regulatory guidance and Best Available Techniques (BAT)
• Engage regulators and stakeholders; collaborate with EHS colleagues
• Carry out environmental audits and assurance of compliance with standards
• Support business development by building client relationships and expanding offerings
• Mentor junior team members and support professional development
• Conduct quality assurance and technical reviews of work
